*AVOID AT ALL COSTS*
Relevant Facts:
- Wheezing very bad and was having trouble breathing, escalated enough to make an ER visit after 2 urgent care visits in last 3 weeks
- Took 3.5 hours to get 1 chest x-ray taken
- Did not have a nurse stop in to check on me or let me know what was going one time during the 3.5 hour experience. Actually took off the blood pressure cuff and pulse monitor on my finger as it was bothering me, machine was beeping for a good 20 minutes before I shut it off myself, and not one person checked in to see what was going on
- Once the nurse came and got me for the chest x ray, I asked him if it was a busy day and he said "actually no it is pretty slow today"
- Was discharged without a clear diagnosis and more questions about what was wrong with me than when I walked in
I have been around Health Care my whole life and have never experienced or seen such a low level of customer service and care all around. I actually filed a formal grievance with Honor Health about the situation and it was found that "the care we (Honor Health) provided does meet the standards for this situation." If this is considered an acceptable level of care, it actually scares me that Honor Health Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center is my local hospital and that my life could be in their hands at some point.
Advise to exercise your other options for hospital care in Scottsdale if you have the choice.
