I used the laundry service once for a recent move to wash everything in one go at a laundry mat and dry cleaning services once.
Laundry: Some washers smelled moldy. Very expensive (haven't used a coin laundry in years, but this seemed outrageous). Some machines didn't work (lost coins) so you had to find the owner to rectify. I would think that technology would have changed - you need to put a gazillion coins in to run some of them. I spent more than expected but it was a quiet day and got it done. Because I was skeptical on the cleanliness of some of the washers, I was a bit grossed out. Obviously people in the area use the area and gets the job done. But pricey and could be maintained better. I've been to better laundry mats and its not about laundry mats in general.
Dry Cleaning: Never again! I came to pick up a few things that I left here when I did the initial laundry and found a few dry cleanables. I was trying to double check items (count) and check the altering and the owner got really rude and grabbed the receipt and scorned me for checking and making sure everything was there (I have had a dry cleaner lose stuff before). Since this isn't my go to dry cleaners, I don't think it was rude to take note of what I brought in and check the work. The owner is very rude. The only reason I am writing this review is I have seen others have had this problem before. I don't like ragging on small businesses. But, there are a lot of dry cleaners in the city and this was more for convenience. There is a language barrier, which wasn't the issue at all (as long as you get things done) - it was the yelling and rudeness for no reason to a paying customer.
I couldn't imagine the dry cleaner I regularly go to have an outburst like this. There was nothing reasonable about it. The dry cleaning was fine though. I did not have anything ruined.
