I called Henry requesting an estimate on some issues my tenant stated needed to be fixed at her residence. He was prompt on returning my call and scheduling an appointment with her. We discussed that he would take a tally of the issues and call me with an estimate. I spoke with the tenant about two hours after he was scheduled for an update. She stated that he had already left and that he stated the issues were fixed. He NEVER called me with an estimate.
Upon checking his work, the tenant stated that he truly did not fix the issues. For example, the showerhead he supposedly fixed was on the floor and the two toilets he was supposed to have repaired were just taped with electrical tape and not truly fixed. And yet he STILL never called me. The next day I received a call from him (which I missed due to being at work) and he texted me to please call him so I can make payment (which still was never clear as to for how much.)
I then called him back and explained that the tenant was extremely unsatisfied with his work. He stated that he would charge me the service charge of $40 (which was NEVER discussed). I instructed him that he should go back and complete the work. He stated he would schedule with the tenant for the next day to go back. I informed him that I would be at work and for him to call me prior to in order to obtain payment via phone for the parts.
Today, he texted me and called me asking if I was going to meet him at the property. I reminded him that I was at work and that we discussed this as well as him obtaining payment for the parts via phone. He instead obtained cash ($40) from the TENANT for the parts: a shower head, a toilet chain, and a cabinet chain.
He then sends me an invoice for $200!!!!!!! Just for labor. Which once again he NEVER NEVER disclosed to me an estimate prior to the services. A rip off. Very unprofessional!!!
