  • When I'm in Medina and want something quick, good and filling without breaking the bank I usually go to Chipotle or Dickey's BBQ. Someone I know suggested the Greek Village. Not having had a decent gyro for a very long time I was happy to try the recommendation. Glad I did. Eight ounces of very good gyro meat for $7.00 is quite a deal. I've been there a few times now, and have always enjoyed the meal. The meat is sliced off, seared on a griddle, smothered with sauce with topped with onion and tomato. That's all I need. Remember you get eight ounces after cooking, not before like those worthless burger guys weigh theirs. Service is friendly, and seems to get even friendlier with every visit as they seem to recognize me. I've only tried the regular gyro so far but am interested in some of their other selections. Situated slightly off the regular path, Greek Village has more than enough parking but that path is a one-way driveway. Enter from just south of the light on N. Court. Inside there is seating at six small 4-square tables for about 16. And now I have three go-to places in Medina.
