This was my first time here on a double date with my husband and his co-workers. The atmosphere is elegant, dark and upscale. The restaurant is a great place for a classy birthday dinner. When we walked in the restaurant it was pretty crowded at 8pm on a Friday. There wasn't much of a waiting area and the waiting area was by the restrooms. My husband wasn't fawn of that at all.
We ordered drinks at the bar and was able to take them to the waiting area and enjoy ourselves rather than being stuck in a crowed place. Once our reservation came up we were seated on the patio. It was like a backyard setting; there were strung lights, cozy and very home feel to it. Our waiter was kind of a dick to us. We asked for sour cream and he said "We will never serve sour cream here." Well hello! It's a Mexican restaurant, who doesn't serve sour cream at a Mexican restaurant!
The food was great! Although, a bit over price for Mexican food. We order their house guacamole and pork shoulder tacos. The meat was so tender it would just fall apart. I would HIGHLY recommend. The meat had a lot of flavor but that was the only favorite to the meal. My husband ordered an Old Fashion cocktail and said it was the best he ever had! He absolutely loved the bartenders for their drinks.
Overall, great place to hang out with friends, the staff could be a bit nicer (Maybe just the waiter we had) and this is not a traditional Mexican food restaurant.
