This bustling spa is conveniently located at Shops at Don Mills, and I was very impressed by how large the space inside was, and how many manicure/pedicure stations are occupied. It's a good idea to book an appointment, but overall they do a brisk business so you should be able to get in when you want to.
I had a precisely-applied shellac manicure with Sue, which I thought was a bit pricy ($38), considering that within an hour I could spot a couple dry spots on my cuticles and I think they should apply cuticle oil after the hand cream. I thought she did a careful job, so I would consider coming back for the sake of convenience (close proximity to work).
The shellac prices are not advertised, and many other clients here seem drawn to the low prices for manicures, so perhaps that's where the deal is.
This place would be 4 stars except I don't think I would come back for waxing services. They use one applicator per client for the wax, so the chances of contamination are high (applicator dipped repeatedly in the pot of wax). Waxing isn't as pricey as other spas, but I'd rather pay more for sanitation and precision.
