  • Our local dog wash was under reconstruction, so we thought we would give Smelly dog a try. Upon arrival, it was like walking into a twilight zone. Clueless clerks standing at the front desk and no one said one word. When I asked if they had wash bin's, one clerk had no clue what we were talking about. The other two just starred at us. I had to basically spell out that we wanted a "self wash." Another clerk took us to the wash area which was empty except for one person washing their Shepard. She actually put us directly next to him. I asked why we couldn't use another one to avoid spraying the customer or getting sprayed. Her response was that it was their process. She gave us two broken aprons and walked away with no instruction or care to see if there were any additional utensils. Shampoo smelled like watered down Palmolive dish soap. Clerks were completely disengaged and disinterested in any form of customer service. Staff kept walking in the back room and congregating. No concern for customers at all. We will not be back. Its a shame because the location is great. Staff has no clue how to deal with people! Just don't waste your time.
