  • It was my husband's birthday, so his friend, him, and I go out to eat at Jayde since he loves sushi and has been dying to try this place out. We all order AYCE to make ordering much simpler. First, the AYCE menu is very very very limited. Dessert is not included as well. It's not like most AYCE sushi places where you can choose from most of the menu if not the entire menu. Anyways, they have a sheet that you fill out with how many orders you want of this and that. We always keep track of what we're ordering and how much. We received at least three times the amount of nigiri that we ordered. We told our waiter, Georgio, this, and he blamed it on the kitchen staff. Okay... but then, we received twice the amount of rolls ordered, to which he blamed on our busser...in front of him. Poor guy! All he's done is fill our drinks & take empty plates away, not take our orders. Georgio has blamed everyone under the sea at this point but himself. Finally it's time for the check. We are a part of 6, so we were charged an 18% gratuity fee - which is fine and expected in large parties. We explained to Georgio that we would need 4 separate checks (2 couples, 2 individuals), and he walked away to ring up our receipts. He comes back with 4 checks, but one of them being charged the 18% of the whole bill. So our friend is pissed that he's received the 18% & asked Georgio why it wasn't split up like we had asked. Georgio claimed that he could not put the 18% on everyone's bill, that it wasn't possible. So we asked for his supervisor, who didn't speak to us, only walked away with Georgio to ring up new receipts. 20 minutes later and the supervisor is still ringing up receipts, so the friend that was originally charged the 18% walked up to him & asked what was going on. The supervisor explained that our party never told Georgio to split the check and that we were in the wrong and that it was going to take a while to ring up new receipts with an 18% gratuity. Finally, we got our receipts, paid, and will never return. We are avid sushi-goers and the sushi was not worth the drive, the waiter, or the money.
