We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was pretty amazing. Last night's visit was so-so because of the craptastic service. Name has changed to something bland and generic, Bistro something. French onion soup was tepid, not served hot. Fresh hot bread was good and I don't think warmed in the microwave. Meat loaf was amazing. Chopped salad was good too. No pinot noir by the glass, "we're out". Waiter made some strange comments. For example, when I asked if he was our waiter, he said, "I'm your waiter and your server." I couldn't tell if the point was sarcasm or some technical distinction that escaped me. Server never refilled our water glasses until I asked as he dropped off the bill. When he dropped off the bill, he said, "This is for your convenience." Huh?? Worst part of the night was the timing of the dishes. My partner had a salad as an entree while I had a salad as a salad. We specifically asked to have the entree salad served when the entrees were served. You guessed it; both salads were served at the same time so my partner had nothing to eat while I ate my entree. Not a good experience for a birthday dinner and a shame because the food rocks.
