This place has got to be the most unique place in Vegas.
I knew the old signs of buildings that had been demolished had a resting place in town. I just didn't know you could visit until recently.
So happy I discovered you can, because this was time and money well spent.
I decided on the day tour, as photography is a hobby and I wanted to get the original colors and detail. At night that's not possible. It can be appreciated more in its truest form in the daytime in my opinion. If you're wanting to see working neon in all its glory, just go visit Fremont St. at night! It's just like being in old Vegas.
The museum has a lot of rules, and good reason for them. Biggest rule:
1 person - 1 camera - 1 lens.
Our tour guide Dani (guessing on the spelling, apologies if it's wrong) was THE BEST and was so energetic! She clearly loves sharing her knowledge on the history of the signs and welcomed any questions. She would check to make sure we were all feeling okay, as it was nearing afternoon and there is no shade on the tour. Take advantage of the umbrellas they offer for your use, wear sunscreen, and be sure to bring water.
Make the time to book a tour online in advance, and then be ready to experience something really extraordinary!
