| - In all fairness, this review reflects their desserts, because that is all that my friend and I ordered while we were here. We had already eaten lunch and just wanted something sweet. I'm pretty sure I had dined here in the past, but I honestly cannot remember what I ordered or what my impression was, so I'm basing it on my most recent experience of the desserts.
The two of us ordered a strudel, a baklava, and an apricot thing. The strudel was probably our favorite. It was flaky and the filling (not exactly sure what the filing was composed of) was really good. The apricot thing was weird. I don't recommend it unless you really like dried fruit; my friend described it as "fruit leather". Lastly, the baklava. We were really excited about the baklava. It was huge. There were so many layers, and the layers were really thick. Well, clearly, we don't know a thing about baklava, because the thick layers should have tipped us off that this would not be a good baklava. There were just sooooo many nuts. It got to be quite overwhelming. The nuts were rather soggy instead of crunchy, and just really took away from enjoying a baklava. So, even though the desserts might look good in the display, they don't always taste so good.
Service was also weird. It wasn't good or bad, just weird. It felt like they were doing things that didn't make sense, but we got our food, our utensils, and our waters, so I guess it was okay.
Last thing: the cucumber in the water wasn't fresh. I really wish they just wouldn't do that.
