| - Planned a 'lunch date' with another couple here, having never tried it before-- I was so happy we picked this place! You walk in and the accents are delightfully orange, there are Italian shows playing on the TV, and the people that work there are SO NICE!
I was blown away by the prices. Looking up at the board, I was shocked to see that I could get a chicken pasta, bowl or salad for in the range of $6 or a salmon pasta/bowl/salad for $7-8.
The portions are large enough to split, or take half home-- even bigger bonus. I was so excited that they let me try all of the different sauces options before I picked. When I started ordering, I was told that I could have ALL of the toppings, at no extra cost! I loved all of the traditional Italian toppings, and the feta cheese! They even topped off my pelini with pesto!
The pellini that I had was delicious. I ordered the marinara, which I almost NEVER do at Italian restaurants, because I find marinara boring and plain. However, Pellini puts enough garlic and onion in to spice it up! Next time, I'm going to try the salmon and salad-- the lady ahead of us ordered that, and it looked incredible, not to mention healthy!
I was blown away with how fun and generous the people at Pellini are. I'm excited that there is an incredibly affordable and fun place to eat by the Quarter, and will now use it as an excuse to do a lunch and shopping trip!
