My wife and I weren't ready to head back to the South Point after our amazing dinner at Hell's Kitchen, so we figured we'd find a bar and have a drink or two.
Caesar's Palace is the happening place on the strip, hands down. Alto Bar fed into that vibe. We arrived after 10:30 and the place was jumping. We found a couch to sit and enjoy our drinks on, but these two guys literally jumped in front of my wife and took the couch. Jerks! We managed to find a spot that was great for people watching. Except, the music is played so loud at Alto that you can't even talk to the person next to you. I had to shout at my wife to talk to her. lol
No issues with the wait staff. The waitress we had was attentive, but I could tell she was tired. I would be too if I had to wear heels, a mini skirt, and have music pounding in my head for 5 or 6 hours each night. Our drinks were $18.00 a pop, but I expected that. The best part of the evening was the group of Englishmen who sat next to us. One showed up with a bottle of Gin and tonic water. Needless to say, they were nice enough to share it with us.
If you want a great place to people watch then Alto Bar is the place for you. If you want drinks and a quiet conversation, then look elsewhere.
