I really wanted this to be a good experience. car bought a the end of May
First, the car I purchased had a single non-keyless entry key, which I only found out after I was heading to get the car. Maybe my fault for not asking?
Second, I brought my own financing. I got a call two weeks after taking possession that there was a problem with the loan value to car value ratio and I may need more money down. I asked the rep to check what that amount was and to check other options. He said he would call back in 1 hour. 5 days pass and I call and asking what is going on. The guy is apparently on a vacation or something and left my loan half done. The bank was changed to another bank and processed without any of my input, which bothered me a little. My loan paperwork didn't arrive till the day I had a payment due in mid july. Luckily I was able to call them and make a payment right off. Also first temp tag expired and I was issued a 30-day.
Third, I get a call the last week July that they forgot to do an emissions test before they sold the car, which as a certified pre-owned, that should not have happened. They also informed me that someone was supposed to have called me the week before about this issue. I have to drive out there and drop the car off so they can run it through emissions.
Today, 2nd temp tag expires today and I still have no license plate and it is going on three months. I finally got a call back after leaving a message with the licensing department AND the office manager. The operator ended up taking my name and hand delivering it to one of those folks and that is when I finally got a call. Hopefully the plate is in the mail today.
Terrible Callback record. My ratio to calls I make to number of times someone even bothers to call me back is awful. When they do call back, I got the line about "well your paperwork was delayed" when that guy was the guy that CAUSED the delay. I ended up with a strange bank that doesn't have a lot of automated processes instead of what I wanted, which was the same bank that I do my checking with. This business just dethroned ABC Nissan as my absolute worst car buying experience.
