| - I get that Friday nights are busy - no problem. We were a party of 2, went inside to check the wait, hostess mentioned that it would be a 20-25 minute wait, gave our phone number and waited inside between the rest rooms and hostess stand. At the 30 minute mark, there were guests that came in after us that were seated. Hostesses saw that we were still there, never said a thing to us. 40 minutes was our top wait time. I told the hostess to remove our name, and she asked what our name was and removed it.
Service tip, the front door is the first experience the guests have when you walk into a restaurant. Acknowledge your guests, keep better track of who has been seated and who hasn't, especially guests that are in front of your face for 40 minutes, advise guests of a longer wait time on a Friday night. If they get seated earlier, bonus for your team! If someone removes their name from the wait, have your hostess ask if there was an issue, offer an apology (after watching us wait!), say something! Growing pains - i'm sure.
We won't be back, nor will we suggest to our friends and family.
