So I've been coming here for about 2 years (since I moved to charlotte) and always had a great experience up until a few months ago. I was unable to book with my regular stylist who is beyond amazing, so I booked with another stylist bc I was pressed for time. Considering the good reputation of this salon I figured I was in good hands. Well long story short my hair was turned red when I asked for carmel highlights and I was told it would "wash out". They then they sold some clarifying shampoo that was beyond overpriced when I felt like I should have been given it for free.
So yes it's my fault for changing stylists and buying the shampoo but that's not what I'm upset about. I had to wait 3 days until they had an "opening" for a correction, which they did offered at no cost but that's normal business etiquette. I felt for the wait time and huge coloring error I should have been refunded and corrected but they weren't having that.
This is where I explain why Im upset. I return for my correction with a different stylist who did an amazing correction and has hands of gold. However, the stylist who made the original error was getting her own hair colored RIGHT NEXT TO ME and I had to explain to the new stylist how much I hated my color right in front of the old stylist! Can you say awkward and uncomfortable? I just felt like this was very unprofessional of the company to put me in that situation.
In addition to this particular visit, I always feel rushed when coming here now, they never have time to finish my service and either another stylist or assistant has to help out. They must overbook bc it always seems like they're rushing to the next customer. I've also noticed stylists don't tend to stick around that long and it seems like a revolving door, which is really unfortunate bc most of their stylist are very talented (reason for 2 stars vs 1) but the management is poor.
