I've been wanting to try Nails Station for a while since I live in a nearby condo so when it was time for a shellac polish change, I decided to give it a try. After reading the reviews on Yelp and Google Reviews, I was a bit deterred but in the end, I decided to give it a try anyway.
I made an appointment two hours prior to my appointment on a Tuesday afternoon for 3pm. I arrived at 2:45pm and the salon wasn't busy at all; there were two others in the salon having their nails done. They told me to pick a colour for my shellac manicure and I settled for a very natural pink-nude tone with some help.
Wendy did my nails for me and we started with the shellac removal which took around 20 minutes. She was quiet but very friendly and accommodating to my preferences. She was precise and detail oriented in applying each coat and did not hesitate to ask me after every round whether I was satisfied or not. The whole process took about an hour and the total came out to 40$ plus tax for a shellac manicure and shellac removal. It seems quite pricey to me but to be fair, they are at a prime location and I can't speak for other downtown prices as this is the only one I've been to thus far.
I am very satisfied with the work that Wendy did but for the price I paid, I probably won't be coming back as a regular (and the reason why I docked a star). Otherwise, the salon itself was clean and tidy with many different colour options. If you're okay with their price list, I would definitely give Nails Station a try!
