| - My experience started when I called and asked what the "Happy Hour" ride was. To my surprise, the girl on the other end of the line was so kind and sweet and gladly answered my question (rare these days). I arrived about 15 minutes early for my first class, and signed in. I was greeted by so many smiling faces and felt very welcomed. All the girls there ROCK! I was given my cleated shoes (rent-free on the first time), and went in. Jackie helped me set up my bike and lock in the shoes, and then in came Allyson, who has the biggest and brightest of smiles. She made the 45 minutes feel like 10 minutes.
The nice thing about the class is that everyone works at their own pace so you don't feel intimidated if you're not spinning as fast as the girl in the front row. Also, you reserve the bike you want in advance, so you're not in the front/back if you don't want to be. The ride is fun, the music is great, and everyone is super friendly!
You aren't just spinning in this class, your upper body WILL get a workout too. Push-up and sit-up effects and there are free-weight exercises as well...YOUR ARMS WILL BURN.
I've taken "standard" spinning classes at various gyms but at Harness, I experienced the REAL thangggg. Go on and take a class here, you will not regret it.
PS: If you are wondering, the Happy Hour is a $5 ride -- CAN'T BEAT THAT.
