My friends and I came across this bar because the bouncer, Rick (my boo) was super friendly and welcoming. Inside was a different story. I went to grab drinks for my friends and came back to find them playing foosball. I placed the drinks on the foosball table and a security guard, a mustached man by the name of Peter, immediately came up to me and threatened to kick me out if I leave the drinks on the table. Harsh since I just got to the table, but I apologized and moved them off. After a minute or two, my friend tried to put her drink on the table, but I took it from her before it touched the table. Peter rushed over to me and asked "do you speak English?! I already told you not to leave drinks on the table!" Ok. First of all, that is super racist and offensive especially since I spoke perfect English to him the first time around. I happen to be asian and English is my first language, but you shouldn't say that to anyone. Secondly, I grabbed the drink before it even touched the table so the problem was averted...does he have nothing better to do? My friends and I are from la and we were really excited to experience the nightlife of Toronto especially after we heard about the diversity here but I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to run the risk of meeting someone who will give you a hard time for looking different than the rest of the patrons here. Shout out to my boo Rick for being awesome though!
