| - Front Desk: 5 stars!
Rhonda was so sweet and very helpful! As soon as we checked in we felt welcome. A Guest was playing the piano in the lobby and Rhonda greeted us with a smile. She remained super calm while mutli tasking the crazy phone lines that kepy ringing while checking us in.
Although we arrived well before our check in time she was able to find a room that was cleaned and ready. She noticed that we had two little ones so she made sure we had a room on the first floor. We didnt even have to ask, she was one step ahead of us. And being a new mom she thought of things that I would never had though to do until it was too late. Super sweet, and not in a over friendly way that is fake and annoying but in an authentic way. Had information on the hikes in the area which is exactly what we wanted. I assumed that info would be in the rooms but to my surprise you have to request it at the front desk. Just another task for the front desk clerk. Living in Las Vegas, a lot of the strip hotels have front desk clerks that are impersonal, snotty, rude and robotic, Rhonda was none of that, she is a keeper! 5 stars to the front desk!
Resturaunt: 1-2stars :(
We ate breakfast here. There was one server on who was also acting as hostess. She sat the couple in front of us and then we waited a solid 7-8 minutes before she even came back to seat us. We were standing waiting by the "please wait to be seated sign" for quite awhile. She seemed flustered although there was only 4 other tables in the entire resturaunt. She never told us her name and did not have a name tag. She said she couldnt find a highchair, but I found one and grabbed it myself. Im a waitress myself and usually give everyone the benefit of the doubt because I know how it is but she just seemed super agitated and 100% in the weeds. Maybe just an off day? I felt a little uncomfortable to ask for anything extra like coffee. Strange vibe. The food was good and the coffee togo. I had the french toast and my husband had the egg scramble hash plate or something of the sort. 1-2 stars nothing I would recommend. We would rather dine up the road at the resturaunt near the cabins.
ps. Loved the music coming from the kitchen (those guys must have been getting down early in the morning! made me smile)
Bar: 4 stars
Our bartender was great! She had a great personality and overall positive experience. The vibe and atmosphere was great. I loved the ambiance with the fireplaces and the open door for fesh air. Dont remember her name (no tame tag) but she was older and blonde and wearing a super cute outfit! 4 stars only because there should be a wine list, cocktail list, beer list etc. Have some fun with it, make some speciality cocktails or a beer list!
Room: 3 stars
We had the king bed, the bed was super comfortable we both slept like a baby. They creak a bit, we def. knew that our next door neighbors were getting busy! We kept the window open at night for fresh air and everything was pretty basic. A little dissapointed in the faux fireplace but I wouldnt trust guests with a real one either. What a liablility that would be! The decor wasnt special, a little out dated circa 1980? The rooms have potential if the owner/investor wanted to spend some money on renovations. 3 stars (they were clean)
