No thanks to the trash and debris on the Phoenix freeways I had to have my windshield replaced. My Ins company gave me three names, I called the first one (be-- glass) and they told me the windshield department was not available (???) and could they call me back later.
Next I called Auto Glass Excellence, they answered promptly, asked a few questions and said they could come out the next day (today). while I was on the line they called my insurance claims office to get the authorization.Once that was done the appointment was confirmed.
Today the tech arrived at the promised time. He was very professional (name was Rigo).He was quite appreciative that we had left the car in the garage facing out so he could work in the shade. He said it would take about 45 minutes and slightly less that he was done. The window went in without any issues and afterward he gave us some tips for what not to do for the next 24-48 hours. The window sparkles and there was no trace except for the blue tape that anything had been done.
The other glass company eventually called us back and left a message saying if we needed anything to give them a call - no thanks I already have a new windshield.
This is my idea of a best practice of a service provider. One call, appointment made, arrival as promised, quick and efficient replacement by a very friendly and professional tech.
