I'm almost embarrassed to tell people where I'm staying based on the horrible name, but it's one of my favorite hotels when visiting Phoenix for work.
They take good care of their guests. In fact, when I arrived this time they informed me they had upgraded me to a lovely room with a huge bathtub in the middle of the room. Ah- if only I had time for baths on work trips (or baths at all!).
I've stayed at The Valley Ho enough times to know that my directionally challenged self will get lost trying to find a room outside. Instead I asked them to instead find a nice room in the tower. Forget the fancy bathtub (although a shower would be nice!).I just wanted a close room that was clean and somewhat spacious. And I got just that for the little time I actually spent in the room. I probably spent more time getting work done in the lounge. Speaking of, the tomato burrata salad was pretty tasty.
If I was headed to Phoenix for vacation I'd likely stay elsewhere (Montelucia* has proved to be a good option for this in the past), but will continue to visit "The Ho" for work travel.
