Purchased a couples massage on Groupon. My first issue was them demanding me to give them credit card info. I understand normally that is a given with spa services, not after purchasing and paying in full. I asked why I would need to give this info since I already paid for the service. Was answered with an attitude "I'll put it in your notes that you are choosing not to give us your information". Also, the appointment was for the next day. I even asked if I could add on more time to our massages. Was told "it is what it is", lol.
Check-in was not a pleasant way to begin a massage. Before I even sat down, I was given a bill of a required 18% tip on the original value. This was not mentioned when I made the appointment. I expressed this and the response was "it's stated clearly in the FINE PRINT". I forked over the $36 and then was offered plastic cups of water. I've been to many spas and bottles are almost always given or at least a real glass. I was less than impressed. Waited about 10 mins and was greeted by our therapists. You have to walk to another building, up a hill and stairs to their treatment room/hotel room.
Massage was ok. One of the therapists had long nails and scratched up my boyfriend's back. She also seemed to lack experience all together. Such a disappointment and not work the hour drive.
