| - I wasn't sure what to expect from dim sum in Las Vegas, but this place exceeded my expectations. The inside is large and spacious, and the food carts come quickly and regularly. We sampled the following:
Fruit custard tarts: pretty average, didn't feel freshly made. I would stick to the main dishes which dim sum places excel at.
A variety of dumplings (we tried the fried pork and chive dumplings, BBQ pork buns, pan-fried pork dumplings, and glutinous rice footballs with meat): all of the dumplings were good and satisfied the grease and meat craving that we all had after a Friday night out. My favorite was the glutinous rice footballs, which are crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and contains a bit of pork meat on the inside as well.
Chinese broccoli with seafood sauce: quite good. It was nice to have a purely vegetable dish, but the veggies were coated in oil so I'm not sure how much healthier they are.
Siu mai: delicious!
Xiao long bao: on the small side and not filled with much delicious broth. I've definitely had much better XLB elsewhere.
Zhong zi: quite good, but again not filled with as much meat and goodies as I have had elsewhere.
Overall service was fast and efficient, and the value was great ($63 to feed 6 of us, so only about $10 a person for everyone to be pleasantly satisfied but not uncomfortably full). I took off a star because although the food was quite good, I felt some of the dishes skimped a little on the fillings.
