Recently passed a kidney stone and ended up in Urgent Care due to the pain. The staff was quick and accommodating (probably because I was screaming in pain) and tried their hardest to get me in, scanned and medicated ASAP. (Except the front desk guy. He took his sweet time to finish the next person's paperwork, staple it, shuffle it and put it away before he sighed and called me up.) I didn't catch the names of any of the staff, or I was probably too groggy to remember, but they all seemed to genuinely care and made sure I was comfortable.
The only upsetting thing was the fact that my doctor didn't go over my results with me. All she told me was that I had a kidney stone I was passing. Later, my medical records were updated online but we had no idea who to contact or what any of the numbers went. I would have rather waited for her to explain than to get home and have no idea how my health is. Also, Urgent Care on a Friday is PACKED! I arrived at 9:30 and was not given a CAT scan until about ~10:40. Shortly before that I was medicated, but spent the time before that rolling around on the bed screaming. Then, I wasn't released until about noon.
