  • I ate here for the first time last Friday, so 2 days ago. Pros: - Food. Decent fare with some rather interesting items. I enjoyed my beef tartare and my mussels. However, Point (and Park) Brugge's mussels are leagues better. Nothing wrong with these ones though. - Beer. They have some nice choices in terms of quality, although it seemed like the number of choices was a bit limited. Cons: - Service. The first person I encountered was an incredibly rude hostess. If you're the girl with the very curly, red hair and you're reading this, get out of the service industry. It obviously doesn't suit you. She ignored me, then was rude to me, then told me it'd be a 45 minute wait, then ignored me again. On the other hand, the other hostess was congenial. She was able to seat us right away. Our server was also nice as was our food runner. Nevertheless, the hostess is the first person you see and helps set the tone for the whole experience and my started off poorly. - Food. While my food was fine, my friends' was not. They each got a sandwich that consisted of a breaded pork cutlet, ham, bacon and topped with a fried egg. The problem is that the cook put a copious amount of salt on top of the egg. Let's go over this. You have a sandwich with ham and bacon and you're dousing it in salt? No. - Decor/theme. I know almost everyone on here enjoys the look/feel of this place, but I feel it is just all over the place. In some ways they make it feel like a western style saloon. But then they have the servers in mechanics' uniforms. Additionally, mason jars are being done to death. Verdict: A decent enough place, and I wouldn't mind going back, but I'd rather go to other new places or ones I consider better before returning. Not a bad choice if you need a place to eat before/after going to one of the theaters.
