i chose this hotel based upon the online pictures and a presumed quality of standard that would be expected in a four star Starwood Hotels property. What a mistake. $300 a night for a room in a hastily remodeled shoddy excuse for an upscale hotel. At check in, we were told that the hotel had been over booked and there were no rooms available with king beds even though this was what I had reserved. "I can give you a room on a higher floor, is this okay" I was asked....well NO it's not when you are offering me a room with two double beds. We ended up being placed in a handicap accessible room with a king bed. Fine. Until we got to the room. The desk chair was broken, the air conditioned sounded like a freight train and the bathroom was still covered in left over grout residue from the remodel. We were then back at the front desk, and given another room. The next room still had a broken desk chair and the grout in this bathroom was worse. It looked like toddlers had been hired to finish the bathroom. A ridiculous standard of quality for a four star hotel. In addition the bathroom door and wall of the bathroom were splattered with something black. Oh yeah, and there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling and drywall mud dried and dripping off of the light fixture over the bed. I do not understand how any hotel owner or manager could find these rooms acceptable. Charlotte has better options for this kind of money. Do not be fooled by the great marketing photos, this place is a dump. I wish I could post photos to accompany this review.
