| - I really wanted to like this dealership, and gave it many chances. First, I spent over $2000 a year ago to have some repairs/ maintenance done on my 2005 Accord. I made it clear at that time that it was my goal to drive the car for another 4-5 years. I was assured that with these repairs, I would be driving this car for several more years. Only 6 months later, the car needed another $800 repair. Okay, I paid it (had this done at a different dealership). Then, about a month ago, the Chandler dealership told me my exhaust system was shot/ completely rusted through, would cost $5500 to replace, and that the car would only last about 8 more months if I did nothing. I asked how this could possibly have not been known 11 months prior; that I would not have spent the $2000 on it to get it fixed if I had known the exhaust was on the way out and would cost so much to fix. The maintenance manager agreed that I should have been told about that.
At any rate, I decided to trade the car in. My salesperson was great. My finance guy was not. At a time when I had already had a frazzled day at the dealership waiting for my car to arrive from the Tucson dealership, I was sold a bunch of rip-off Autonation warranties. The main one was over $3200, when as it turns out, you can buy Honda Care for 1/3 the price! I went to return all the warranties, but was told I could not return the appearance (paint/ upholstery) one because the protection products had already been applied. Excuse me? I signed the paperwork and left right after the car arrived from the out-of-town dealership. Nothing was applied. So, now I have paid for something I never even got. Paul in finance let me know they verified that no sticker was placed on my car, which would indicate that paint protection had been applied. He was also unwilling to further check to see if the products had been placed on my car. He told me that "all cars at this dealership are automatically treated with pain protection," but that "some slip through the cracks and do not get it." I asked if he would check into mine, but he refused. He told me he will call me later to have an appointment set up to have the paint protection applied ONLY if I kept the warranty. This is completely inappropriate, considering he said that all cars at this dealership are supposed to automatically have the treatment, regardless of paying for the warranty. Paul had no concern for me as a client, and did not at all care how upset I was about my treatment at this dealership. Save for maybe needing to return to get the paint protection I already paid for but did not get, I will never set foot in this dealership again.
To top it off, I am really upset about the car I traded in and the supposed $5500 repair it needed. I got $1500 for the trade in, and the car is now for sale on their lot for $5450; it literally will cost someone else less money to buy this car from them than it would have cost me to have it fixed! If you do not wish to deal with misleading people who lie and do not care about you, avoid this place. I only bought here because this was the only dealership in the valley that had the car in the color I wanted. Good riddance!
