I liked Sal's. I think it was because of how clean it was for a lower priced city restaurant and the nice variety on the menu.
Erica wanted to go for her birthday, and although the line was long, we were getting stink eye from some ladies, and we weren't seated in order...she didn't want to leave. This made me assume there was something special about this place!
Everyone at my table had some sort of warm sandwich- a Rachel, Chicken aioli, and grilled cheese. I had salad as there weren't a lot of gluten free choices.
I had the beet and goat cheese salad. There were tons of walnuts and the orange balsalmic was great. My mouths was drooling over the gorgeous grilled cheese, though. It was only $5. My only suggestion to Sal is to have some more gluten free options! (Call The Yard, theu have GF grilled cheese!)
