| - Went here on 6/13/14 to wait for Ife A. to show up because she was getting a tattoo.
Let's get this out of the way, the day I get a tattoo on my own volition is the day Hell freezes over, so I was simply there for moral support.
I got to the shop much earlier than Ife and while I get that it's in a sketch area of town, wtfffff is up with the parking situation? Not only was I afraid to leave my car parked here, but what is going on with the apartments (??) in back? Do people live here? Is it a brothel? I could see that there were made up beds in there because the doors were open. Parking situation is no bueno.
Once inside, I walked in and sat down, because I knew that Ife was about 20 minutes away. Nobody acknowledged me whatsoever. No "hello," no "welcome," no "are you here for ___?"
It was really hot in the shop so I sat directly in front of the fan. Eventually I had to go grab some hot water out of my car because I was dying of thirst. All that water led me to their bathrooms - use the bathroom before you come here. That is all.
Once Ife showed up, she asked where the sheets were because they were running a Friday the 13th special - specific tats for $13. No alterations could be made to the tats. Apparently, this is SUPER popular. After she showed up, a ton more people came in wanting their Friday the 13th tats.
Johnny Vegas, the artist was friendly and quick with Ife's tat. It seemed from all the people coming in and out, he had been working straight through the day for quite some time.
I can't say that I'm coming back here, because tats and piercings are not my thing, but it was an A-OK experience.
