| - I've been here twice for the weekend brunch and this would be one of my favorite French restaurant. Chef Michael Mina did a great job on the variety of menu it has to offer. Let's start with complimentary french bread that is toasty on the exterior and soft on the inside with house butter.
Appetizers:
french onion soup with truffle, shortrib, poached egg, and gruyere cheese - This is goood $16 bowl of french onion which taste so home -made and delicious. The beef broth was not salty and doesnt taste like it's from the can beef broth. It's not heavily dumped with onions. This is one darn good bowl of french onion soup.
steak tartare - it was good and fresh, but i've had better. It comes in half or full order.
escargot - Nicely presented and the escargot is wrapped in pastry puff.
French toast with vanilla mascarpone and almond brittle - This is a huge brick of bread! Literally, it's probably about 2.5inches thickness and 4x6inches in length/width. I was only able to eat half of the french toast. Outside is toasty, but the inside was soft and quite mushy, but tasty. It's not your typical french toast.
Burger with aioli fries - Juicy, huge, and tasty! the fries is a must have!
Ham croissant benedict - Interesting combo and the sauce was delish!
Hunter waffle with duck confit - It 's a good plain waffle atop with duck confit. It was just okay.
Apple tart - Not your typical apple pie or tart, but it's really good. Not soo sweet, but full of apple flavor.
Vanilla creme brulee - Full of vanilla flavor and creamy! One of the better creme brulees!
I would definitely return to try the happy hour menu in the bar area next time i'm in town!!
