  • Let's face it, does Starbucks and its army of addicted caffeine zombies really give a Frap what I think? Of course not, but regardless, here's my take on this unique location... Although I'm not an avid Starbucks fan, this one seems to mysteriously and magnetically draw me regularly simply due to its sprawling outside patio area with its umbrella-topped tables. The inside seating area is also expansive, which is important, since this popular Stonecrest location in Ballantyne is always jam-packed. There is also another wonderful patio a short hop away across the parking lot that has a tranquil water fountain as its centerpiece beside The Flying Biscuit. Coffee-wise? Bah Humbug! A Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks. Although not a hater, I do consider their coffee to be harsh in general, and I miss the little mom and pop coffee shops that they have driven out (which sounds weird hearing myself write, being that it is one of the few things my 22 year old daughter agree upon.) Despite all this, and the lackluster service, I still give it 3 stars (one star higher than normal) just for the ambiance of the patios, and what the heck, while I'm here I might as well grab a latte...
