I am definitely a cat person but even I agree that cat people are a special breed of people indeed.
First, hats off to the person or people that pulled this off giving these cats a great home. They have ample space to eat and play. All the cats were very tame and I had no biting or scratching concerns while handling them. Certainly many of them did not want to be held, but I did end up with one on my lap for quite while. Although "cafe" is in the name, the Cat Cafe isn't about coffee and other beverages as it is about the cats. We each got our cup of Keurig coffee and thought that was a nice bonus.
We went there as part of an fundraiser for the Mad Rollin' Dolls. The movie "Whip It" was shown as the cats wondered through the guests. I thought this was a great way to experience the Cat Cafe.
They do a good job keeping the place tidy though I admit I probably wouldn't have taken my shoes off. In the time we were there we never even discovered where the litter boxes were hidden. The room definitely has that cat smell and those with allergies probably wouldn't survive long, but for us cat lovers, it was a great sanctuary to hang out with these wonderful creatures. We'll be back next time they host an event that interests us.
