Located at The Golden Nugget in Downtown Las Vegas, directly across from the Chocolate Box and very close to the hotel lobby check in.
My husband and I arrived here for dinner on Christmas day while spending a little vacation getaway in Las Vegas. We arrived right on time for our 5:30 pm reservations (another couple had walked in and asked how long would the wait be since they did not have a reservation and the seating hostess told him it would be about 45 minutes).
After we were seated and greeted by our server (unfortunately I do not recall his name), we were given menus. We ended up ordering:
Sourdough Bread- This basket of complementary bread was pretty "meh". Although it was served warm, it did not have much of a taste. It is served with butter (with good reason). But since we were both feeling hungry, we ended up eating 1/2 of it.
Jump Lump Crab Cake, $21 prior to tax- Although this crab cake was a large size (and a fair amount to share for 2 as an appetizer), I wasn't really impressed with it. I thought the breading was not seasoned well. But the crab pieces itself was good. The butter sauce on this crab cake was good but the crab was good all by itself. I wouldn't say this is worth ordering again.
Roasted Salmon, $32 prior to tax- This salmon is served on a bed of potato puree (mashed potatoes) and a delicious lump of crab. This dish is also served with asparagus. I had requested for the asparagus to be steamed. According to our server, normally the asparagus is sauteed in butter. I thought this salmon was perfectly cooked. The sauce was wonderful and I liked the diced tomatoes on the salmon. However I didn't find the capers to really enhance the flavor of the salmon and rather overpowered the delicate flavors of the fish. The crab cake that was served was much better seasoned and better tasting than our appetizer. The portion of this entree is more than perfect for one person.
Prime Ribeye (16 oz), $47 prior to tax- My husband ordered this (since he is a big steak fan and we are in a steak house). We were both actually surprised that this prime ribeye entree was just meat and no side like my salmon. When we had dined at other steakhouses in the past, the steak entree always comes with some kind of vegetable and/ or starch. So this was a little disappointing. In general, the prime rib was cooked a bit more than my husband wanted (he ordered it medium rare). But the steak was still juicy. It would have been nice to have an accompaniment of sauces to be served with this steak (unfortunately that is not free).
Haricot Verts, $10 prior to tax- I requested to have these green beans steamed. Normally this would be served with a buttery sauce. I thought these green beans were cooked perfectly. It was nice to be able to taste the natural sweetness and tenderness of the vegetables.

(Total= $150 after tax and tip)
This was quite a special meal for us to celebrate Christmas. Our server in general was friendly. But was not quite as attentive, but that seems to be the norm for steak houses (so that isn't what caused me to deduct stars on this rating).
We were disappointed with my husband's entree not coming with a side dish, also disappointed that his steak was cooked a little more than he had requested. We were also disappointed with the bread they served (thank goodness it was free at least because we have been to a steakhouse that served bread for a $5 charge and it wasn't even good). Another thing that did annoy my husband was that there is no restroom inside this restaurant. And so you have to use the restaurant in the casino (a short walk, but you still have to leave the restaurant to use it). And lastly, the crab cake we ordered as an appetizer was not worth it. Overall. this place is worth a solid 3.5 stars.
The couple next to our table did order the bread pudding and it truly looked amazing but we were too full to make an order. If you do come here, I would recommend you consider making room for this dessert.
By the way, this restaurant will validate your parking ticket for 3 hours. (Parking is not free at the Golden Nugget unfortunately but with validation and for hotel guest only it is free).
