Having moved to the state a year ago, we were saddened and missing our favorite neighborhood sushi restaurant we left behind. After trying a few around the East Valley, we stumbled upon Sushiya -- and have been regulars since. The sushi is wonderful and fresh. The prices are very modest. And the staff are always very friendly -- greeting you as you come in and again as you leave. We've experimented with most of the menu, and have to recommend the spicy tuna roll and the sunshine roll (topped with paper thin lemon slice). But honestly, we haven't been disappointed in anything.
