This is 4 stars for a great value. The rooms aren't fancy but the hotel itself is Victorian, which I love. There is no pool. The buffet is okay....and it's only $9 or $10. So sure, you get a better buffet at the Mirage, but it's $22. You get a nicer room at the Rush Tower of the Golden Nugget, but on the dates I was going it was 3 times the price (each time--I'm in Vegas a lot). One bell clerk was awesome and the other a complete jerk. Parking is free for hotel guests (and probably everyone else....although the sign said you had to pay there was rarely anyone in the booth). So....... this is not the place to go if you're looking to impress a date or your folks or anyone else, really....but it's a TERRIFIC place to stay if you don't want to pay much and want great maid service, a nice room, and a safe environment central to Fremont Street.
