  • HORRIBLE experience with this company!!!!! After breaking an ankle in March of 2015 they told me that I needed to pay upfront for the walking boot that was needed. They said that this out of pocket would go towards my deductible. Fast forward to July of 2016 when calling my insurance company for another reason they notified me that they had sent a check to Hanger for almost the full amount. My insurance company said Hanger should have refunded me. I never received any notification (written or verbal), within this last YEAR about this money, however when I called they were able to pull my credit card information up with the last 4 digits within less than a minute. Didn't seem like I was too lost in their system. Debbie the manager and Mark another manager were not able to explain why I was never notified. Debbie stated it was a process... Mark went to his scripted speech that they have strict guidelines with regular audits and are highly regulated, but that the billing is done at the Corporate Office. When I asked him why this wouldn't have been caught in one of their many audits he had nothing to say. I requested to speak with someone at the corporate office so as to understand what the "Process" is so that this "Convenient Oversight" where they were paid two times - won't happen to any other patients. When speaking with Noel (Area Manager for the Scottsdale location), she also had no idea or answers. She said they have a 90 day policy with returning funds and that she is in charge of the audits. When asked when these audits occur she said there would be one this month (July), I asked when last year's was and she verified that it was December of 2015. She admitted to not doing her job. Watch your money with this company. There seems to be a united team of ball droppers at this company. Their excuses for failing at this fiduciary responsibility are unacceptable and unprofessional! ****For those that might be higher up with this company I have these phone calls recorded if you are curious as to your employees incompetencies.****
