  • After reading all the reviews, I was afraid because I already booked a car for 2 days for $54 through Priceline.com. Pretty good price if you ask me. So upon check-in, the clerk was on the phone with a customer who apparently was complaining about the extra fees he had to pay for every km he went over the limit. It came to about $400 on top of what he initially had to pay. At this point, I was literally freaking out because on my receipt, it said unlimited mileage. So I went up to the clerk, gave him all the documents and specifically told him that I was planning to drive the car to Toronto. All he said was OK. So he asked for my driver's license and Credit Card and told me to punch in my pin number for the $500 deposit. I knew at this point, he was hiding something from me. So I told him, before I place my deposit, I want to know if I have unlimited mileage, as stated on the receipt when I made my reservation. This is when he started getting all aggressive on me saying that I should have read their policy and blah blah and that they don't cover unlimited mileage. So I showed him my receipt which stated that I have unlimited mileage and he said that's only if you are from the United States. My response was," So I specifically told you that I was planning to drive the car to Toronto, and you didn't even bother telling me that I would have to pay extra for driving over the mileage limit (which was 200km per day) meaning that I would have exceeded the limit by roughly 900km." At this point, I knew I caught him off-guard as he was searching for other BS excuses. NOW he asked me if I wanted to add unlimited mileage for $60 a day. I said that's more than what I have initially paid for the reservation. So I called Priceline, cancelled my reservation and went to another car rental (Discount) right beside it and within minutes got a car with unlimited mileage for $90 for 2 days). My advice to all of you, stay away from this company. They will try to rip you off if you're not well informed. That's why their business is still running.
