| - When I'm on the road and looking for a room, I don't care if they have 100 channels, WiFi, a kitchenette, spa, swimming pool, heart shaped tub, concierge, or whatever. I check in drop off my bags and go about my business exploring the location. All I want is a clean pillow to lay my head down on after a busy day and a shower to freshen up with in the morning. Everything else is gravy.
A few months ago I purchased tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers game. I have never seen a basketball game and consider it a "bucket List" item. Since my B-Day is the following weekend, I purchased tickets to a game and considered it a B-Day present to myself. When my girlfriend offered to spring for the room, I simply said get the cheapest room you can find within walking distance to the Quicken Loans Arena.... and that's how I found myself there this past weekend.
I don't know how much the room cost, but hotel was wonderful. It was less than a half mile from the arena, there were a lot of restaurants and bars nearby and I was able to park on the street, right across the street from the hotel actually for free! I hate to pay for parking! The room itself was clean with a comfortable bed and a nice strong warm shower. What more can you ask for? If you're planning a weekend in Cleveland, I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn
