My husband took me here for a date night this past Friday. He warned me it was a bit of a dive but I don't really mind. Some dives are real gems! We were in at about 7 for dinner. As soon as we arrived we noticed a car parked in the handicap spot that had no handicap plate or placard. We go inside and are told to sit wherever we want. I like that because with my hubby being in a wheelchair, we often get seated in the back aka out of the way. The menu had a lot of options but we were there for the steak! I ordered the New York strip medium well. Which I've had at other places and it came out great. Our waitress Renee brought us drinks quickly and was right there when we were ready to order. Our food came out pretty fast and she actually stayed at the table and asked us to cut into our steaks to make sure they were okay. I loved this because as a person who doesn't like a bloody or desert dry steak, I hate cutting into it and having to wait 10-15mins for the staff to come back so I can tell them it's not done right. Especially if it's over cooked. So we cut in and I could immediately tell mine was dry and very hard to cut. So I cut the center and it was soft so I said it's okay. And it really was. Besides about 1/2 inch on the end the rest was good. The fries were hard and dry. But the steak and salad and drinks were on point. Renee was amazing! It was overpriced a bit ($23), and the inside is in major need of updating, but I would definitely go back! Thanks Renee!
