  • Great Food, Excellent Service!!! My first visit to Pirata, and definitely not my last. I visited on a Monday night, the restaurant wasn't very busy, so I sat at the bar to take advantage of Happy Hour! The bartender approached me right away, and was super friendly throughout my entire visit. I ordered a sangria, smoked pineapple salsa (happy hour portion, yay!), a chicken empanada and the Cuban sandwich with fries. The sangria was EXCELLENT, the real deal, not just wine with fruit. The pineapple salsa and empanada were also very tasty. The salsa was fresh, smoky and sweet, definitely different from anything that I had before. The empanada,was flaky and flavorful. The star of the show was the Cuban sandwich, layers of ham, pork, swiss cheese, on real Cuban bread....yum. The sandwich was huge, I only ate half, and saved the rest for lunch the next day, and it was even better!. This was a great meal, can't wait to return.
