Got a Groupon for $22 for a dozen macarons, claimed the full value is $42. That means they sell each macaron for $3.50. That's pretty high if you ask me!
Went to the store to pick them up, they required a three day advance notice beforehand (warning sign?). They don't open until 12pm Mondays and Tuesdays so be aware. The display shelf was filled with marvelous looking macarons with tie die colours, beautiful sprinkle toppings and other decorations. I was excited. But I was fooled. The box that I get was prepackaged and did NOT contain a single one that looked like the ones in the shelf. They were plain coloured and did not even list out what the flavors each one was. They strangely added a white or milk chocolate flower on each macaron. My assumption is for them to argue for added value of each macaron if questioned. There was no price showing for how much each macaron cost listed anywhere in the store.
I left the store knowing I'll likely not return. The flavor of each macaron was decent but the freshness was questionable. Some were good and some were dry or hardened. Seeing how the product given for Groupon coupons were sub-par to their actual retail stuff makes me not want to come to this place again. It just tells me that they're out for a cash grab.
