I live across the street from Publix. I was so excited that they opened there, and the Grand Opening was awesome ! Anthony was the BEST MANAGER but then he left and went back to Indian Land, bad decision. Customer Service has taken a step in the wrong direction in the past few weeks but tonight was the icing on the cake !!! Not sure I will ever return to that store and thats disappointing. My husband wanted a bottle of wine to go with our July 4th cookout , so I told my daughter whom is 26 years old that if I watched her baby ( my grand-daughter) would she run over and pick up a bottle for us. She was told that she looked too young to buy alcohol but was NEVER carded by a girl at u scan. She asked for a Manager and another girl came over and told her she couldn't buy wine at that store for the rest of the day . I was so furious that I went in the store with my daughter and grand-baby and as soon as the Manager seen us come in the door, he said I apologize , the employee was confused . He did not seem to care one bit that I was so upset , he was very nonchalant about the situation. I went ahead and paid for the bottle of wine as he stood there and watched me. I am just in disbelief. That is a very upscale area and the employees treat customers like that. If that behavior continues your store will not do well there. People want to feel important , especially when they choose to spend their money there when they could go elsewhere.
