| - Four stars and a half stars for friendly, responsive, helpful service that goes above and beyond the norm. Two stars for room 222; three stars for room 218. Call it a solid three stars.
Look. It's not the Intercontinental, and it's never going to be. Shopworn. But the price is more than fair, whether on their website or via Expedia. The breakfast is substantial, if a little carb heavy. Plenty of coffee, juices, milk, etc. Room 222 was not so great; I'm not even sure there was a clock. But room 218 was well-equipped, with a quiet AC, fancy new showerhead, built in hairdryer, etc.
Other plusses: free shuttle from airport, and a wonderful front desk staffed by a mix of Americans and new Americans. How helpful? Well...I forgot my cell charger. It was in L.A. I asked at the front desk if they happened to have one in lost & found that might fit for the night. The desk clerk lent me one...and said to return it at the end of my stay.
Thanks, guys! If you book here, check your room if you have any worries before you move in.
As for food, there's a nifty dive bar/restaurant attached. Food pretty good. Get the chicken plate.
Wifi powerful and free.
