  • I live very close to Sidebar and I consider myself lucky that this is my neighborhood bar. Sure it has a "hip vibe", yes it is pretty upscale but I still consider this my neighborhood bar. The staff is super friendly to everyone, yet they still take the time to greet me personally even when it is packed. They remember what I drink yet are always ready to recommend something new that I might like. They chat me up when I feel like talking and leave me be when I just want to hang out. The clientele really runs the gamut, young and old, hip and nerdy, quiet and boisterous. I have met some really great people here. You might not consider this a neighborhood bar but it is in my neighborhood and it's MY neighborhood bar.
