  • I book my room on hotels.com (I always book with them) about an hour before I arrived as I always do. When I went to check in the guy behind the counter was a complete a$$hole and told me that hotels.com faxes in the reservations and that it hasn't come in yet (he didn't look) and told me I would have to come back in 45 minuets. I told him that I've never seen it take so long and asked him if e could check the fax because I had to get showered and dressed for a dinner meeting and he told me he was too busy??? WTF??? So after my dinner I went back to the hotel to check in and dealt with another guy that was cool. Now they told me about a $15.00 "resort fee" that I would have to pay on top of what I paid for the room. I was really excited about being at a "resort" and asked him where I can find the awesome resort part of the hotel that I would have to pay more for and he laughed and said the pool must be it and he thought the resort fee was BS too. When I got the key to my room I headed to the elevator to head to my room. When the elevator doors opened on my floor I almost crapped my pants at how nasty the hallways were. I've NEVER seen such nasty carpet and was thinking I made a huge mistake staying here. When I opened the door to the room I was surprised at how clean the room was after seeing the hallways. After my shower I headed back out to the NASTY hallways, down the elevator and off to the tables. This is where things got better. The dealers were great (but they took my money), the waitresses were great and my late night meal was good. With the waitresses on top of their game and keeping the drinks coming all night long I didn't even notice the NASTY hallways on the way back to my room. Overall I had a good time but will not stay here again due to the first guy I dealt with and the "resort fee". If they just charged $15.00 more for the room I would be cool with it but to try to hide it from you and then hit you with it when you show up is BS (not to mention this place is resort-less). It just makes me feel like they are ripping me off and I'd rather take my business to a hotel that is up front with the price. I did go back on Hotels.com the next day to book another room (not at this one) and looked to se if it said anything about the resort fee and it didn't. It would be 3 stars without the a$$hole and the resort fee but thats it.
