  • We got a great deal on Priceline for a stay at Hotel Place D'armes and plane tickets. It's a cozy hotel with a great location (right by the beautiful Notre-Dame Basilica) in Old Town and 2 blocks from a metro stop. Staff was professional and friendly and I especially liked: -free continental breakfast (breads, muffins, fresh fruit, cheese, coffee, tea, juices). With a small afternoon snack, this breakfast will get you to dinner. -our room had the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in, an exposed brick wall, 30 foot ceiling, and a large jacuzzi tub. -free ticket for a glass of wine and cheese from 5-7, every night of our stay, in their restaurant on the first floor. (Be sure to check out the server who is a cuter version of actor Ron Livingston) My only complaint--and it's a lame one--is it would have been nice to have gotten something for our missed, first night. We were at O'Hare during the weather advisory, and our flight got canceled twice. I know they are a business, and it's not their fault that our flight got canceled but getting compensated somehow (free night for a later stay, hell even a free drink) would have been appreciated.
