  • I had a pretty crappy experience here. I never get my nails done, maybe 2-3 times a year, so I got on yelp to find a place near me that had a good rep, after reading all the reviews and checking out their "prices" online, I decided it was a pretty safe bet. So lets start from the beginning. Their website isnt too terrible, but all the prices on the list are STARTING at prices, which I realized, but initially seeing a pedicure at $17 isn't bad, I figured it wouldn't be more than $30. So I get in there, the place is pretty organized and semi clean, there was a lot of dust on fixtures and surfaces, but I also work in a salon so I nit pick cleanliness. I sit at a pedi chair and they hand me a menu of pedis to choose from. I asked for the herbal one that was $30, I just wanted to pretty basic including a massage. So part of the way in she tells me I NEED callus removal, so I try to politely say I'm not interested but she insisted, never saying it was gonna be $5 more, even though I knew it was from reading the menu. Whatever, I didn't wanna fight her on it, they're just trying to make a living. So when we get the the callus removal she pulls out this huge cheese grater looking thing that scares the crap out of me, so I should have said no but I didn't. She just goes to town on my feet and toes and most of the time it was uncomfortable. It didn't really hurt, but it didn't feel good by any means. It hurt around the toes and I kept flinching but she just kinda laughed it off and kept going. So then a guy comes over and looks at my nails (I was getting a full set done as well.) He starts popping off my old acrylics after I told him my nail beds are pretty thin and sensitive, he wasn't being gentle at all. So that sucked, and the girl was giving me the hot stone massage on my legs and feet while he was doing this, so obviously I wasn't enjoying the massage at all because i was having my nails ripped off, which is practically the only reason I get pedis. So then the girl gets to shaping my toenails. I very clearly asked her NOT TO CUT MY CUTICLES. I get it, my feet don't get treated very often so I understand it might look like I need them cut, but regardless I said I didn't want them cut. So what does she do? Says OKAY, and then pulls out her nippers and goes to town. It didn't feel great, she definitely cut me because now the side of my toe has an infection. Granted I do not blame the salon FOR the infection, I wear sandals a lot, but I do blame them for making my toes a breeding ground for infection. I won't go into details about my acrylic nails that were done, other than the fact that they looked so lame, they were poorly painted and he wouldn't listen to what I wanted, or if he was he wasn't capable of delivering the design I requested. I just wanted a dark, red matte color, so his idea is to paint my nails with bright red polish and after they cured, he buffed the crap out of them to remove the shine. I just assumed they would use a matte top coat like everybody else, but instead he left a million scratch marks all over my nails thinking that was the effect I wanted. He also clipped my cuticles after I asked him not to. At no point was I given any prices either, so I wasn't surprised that at the end I paid $90 for all of my services. Ridiculous, horrible service and I will never return, and I have already told all of my many clients that sit in my chair every day not to go here. Good luck if you decide to get your nails done here. I wasn't going to write this review until I developed the infection, that was the last straw.
