After moving here from Cali, I had a hard time finding a stylist/barber I liked for about 3 years. I tried quite a few places from Hualapai all the way to Chinatown. It was always a hit and miss with either overpriced barbers/stylists to horrible haircut from cutting too short or to high for asian hair.
Even at this place I was reluctant but I was determined to continue my search. I had my haircut from each of them for the first few months, then this non Asian named Didi asked if I needed a haircut. I looked at her and said are you familiar with Asian hair? She laughed and said yes. I was still nervous since in the last few years I had different barbers from Asian to non Asian cutting my hair and the ones that came close were the Asian barbers/stylists, but they fail at delivering consistency when cutting my hair. So I gave her a try and was glad I did. She also gave my son a haircut and did a fantastic job, considering my son is 3 years old.
Now after coming here for close to a year I felt that Didi deserves this great review as a compliment of her skill. Just let her know what you want and she will make it happen. Also, she is very open to criticism and does her best to correct it and make it right, unlike the majority of barbers/stylists who will either ignore your comments or argue and say you're wrong about your own hair and they see anything wrong. WTF right?
She has given me a trim, a high and tight, a fade, and has never fail to impress. I live about 10 miles away and don't mind the extra drive for my perfect haircut. It was a long journey but I found a gem after my long search.
