I'm not a NASCAR fan, so I had no expectation of getting much out of going here. I had mild curiosity and was going in with others who wanted to see it so I went along. I was glad I did!
This is so much more than a race car tributary. Its and interactive discovery style museum, game center, hand on fun.
The presentations, dioramas, and displaces are all done very well, the impact of many of the displays are very impressive and lots of places for racing fans to take pictures and selfies.
But where they pulled me in was the interactive displaces where you got to test actual racing engines and feel them rough to life, race in simulated stock cars, act as pit crew and test your ability to service a race car against your friends (its easier and more fun than it sounds). There were cool displays of testing equipment and interactive displays to show you how things work in a race car. Again I have no interest at all in racing but this was surprisingly fun.
If your unaware NASCAR grew out of moon shine running and grew into casual then completion racing and the billion dollar industry it is today. So there is some moonshine history to learn about too.
